Raising AI-powered leaders with parents' wisdom at heart

We believe AI is one of the greatest opportunities to shape the next generation—but only if guided with purpose. Lukkids turns AI from a passive tool into an active mentor, empowering children to thrive as creative, critical thinkers. Our structured approach ensures AI aligns with family values, supporting parents while fostering ethical, responsible, and future-ready skills. At Lukkids, AI doesn't replace parenting or education—it enhances them, equipping kids with the tools to grow, explore, and build the future with confidence.

Who We Are

My name is Amaury KHELIFI, and I'm a serial entrepreneur who has been building tech startups since 2012. Throughout my career, I have coached hundreds of founders as a Chief Technical Officer, working on emerging technologies like VR, Blockchain, IoT or AI. But although I love what I do, the most important project wasn't in the startup world—it was at home with my kids.

As an entrepreneur, I've experienced the rollercoaster of success and failure, and I quickly understood that the right mindset and skill set were crucial. That realization became the spark for Lukkids—a project built around equipping the next generation (ages 3 to 15) with the tools, knowledge, and opportunities to thrive in an AI-driven world.

Our Story and the Parenting Philosophy Behind Lukkids

One day, my 8-year-old daughter asked me a series of questions about electricity and famous inventors—questions I couldn't fully answer. It struck me: no parent has all the answers. Kids ask endless "whys," but even the most available or knowledgeable adults can't always respond in a way that not only answers but guides them to think for themselves. That moment made me wonder—what if AI could act as a super educator, not to replace parents, but to help children explore, question, and learn in ways we alone sometimes can't?

From the moment they were born, I knew my children would grow up in a world vastly different from mine. As an entrepreneur, I had faced challenges I wasn't fully prepared for—uncertainties, rapid changes, and obstacles that tested my resilience.I wanted my kids to be ready for whatever life would throw their way.

I chose to raise them in English, opening doors to knowledge beyond borders. But more importantly, I introduced them to technology as creators, not just consumers—enrolling them in tech boot camps, encouraging hands-on learning in electronics, woodwork, and coding, and connecting them with brilliant minds across cultures.

One of my biggest challenges was ensuring technology remained a tool for growth, not just distraction. I knew that if I wanted my children to thrive, I had to introduce AI and digital tools with purpose—through structured learning experiences that spark creativity, problem-solving, and independent thinking while minimizing the downsides of technology.

That realization became the foundation of Lukkids—not to replace parenting, but to extend it. AI isn't here to simply give children answers; it's here to challenge them to think deeper, explore further, and develop real independence. With the right guidance, AI can become a mentor, empowering parents to raise a generation of curious, creative, and critical thinkers—ready to build the future.

How Lukkids Works

Lukkids isn't just another website or tool for kids. We have the ambition to create an ecosystem that guides, stimulates, and accompanies children and parents toward meaningful learning experiences. We want to guide parents in using the best parenting and educational tools while helping them give their children access to technology and AI. The purpose isn't just to give answers to kids; our approach is to use AI to question back, promote critical thinking, and adapt to each child's unique needs.

We found that direct, unrestricted AI access isn't the right approach. It's like giving a calculator to a child before they've learned to count—it removes the opportunity to develop essential thinking skills. That's why we designed astructured AI experience, where AI functions as a tailor-made mentor, adapting to a child's age, personality, and interests.

And Lukkids isn't just built on our personal experience. It's grounded in research conducted worldwide in the education sector.

The Research: AI Should Complement, Not Replace, Learning

Research and AI in Education

One of the most important studies that shaped our approach was the 2023 U.S. Department of Education's AI in Education Report. This report outlines the right way to introduce AI to children. Here are some of the key takeaways:

  • 🔹AI must have clear learning objectives – It should be purposeful, not just entertainment.
  • 🔹Parents & educators must stay involved – AI should be guided and supervised, not left unchecked.
  • 🔹AI should adapt to the child's learning level – Every child is different; AI must personalize learning instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach.
  • 🔹Privacy & safety must come first – AI interactions should be secure and respectful of family values.
  • 🔹AI should challenge, not just provide answers – Instead of spoon-feeding information, AI should prompt curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving.

We realized that most AI education tools today fail in one or more of these areas. So we created a structured, parent-led approach to ensure AI truly benefits children's development.

The "A.I. C.A.R.E.S." Framework

To ensure that AI enhances learning rather than replaces it, we developed the AI C.A.R.E.S. framework—a structured, research-backed method to introduce AI safely and effectively in a child's education.

A structured approach for parents to guide their children in using AI safely and effectively.

🎯

AAdaptation

The AI tool must demonstrate dynamic adjustment capabilities that match the child's age, learning level, and emotional needs. Responses should be carefully calibrated to be age-appropriate and engaging, maintaining an appropriate level of challenge while encouraging growth. This criterion helps identify tools that can evolve with your child's development.

IInquiry

Good AI tools should promote curiosity and critical thinking rather than simply providing answers. This criterion evaluates whether the tool uses a question-based approach, encourages exploration, and challenges assumptions. Look for features that prompt children to think deeper and discover solutions independently.

🎨

CContext

The AI tool must maintain relevance to educational goals while aligning with family values and learning objectives. This criterion helps assess whether the tool can filter out distractions, misinformation, or irrelevant content. Consider how well the AI respects and reinforces your family's educational priorities.

AAccountability

Transparency is crucial—parents should be able to understand why and how the AI responds to their children. This criterion examines the tool's explainability and whether it provides clear oversight mechanisms. Look for features that allow inspection and adjustment of AI interactions.

⚖️

RResponsibility

The AI tool should promote ethical use, fairness, and cultural awareness. This criterion assesses how well it supports digital literacy and responsible AI use. Evaluate whether the tool helps children develop safe online behaviors and understand the broader implications of AI in society.

🎮

EEngagement

Effective AI tools should enhance creativity, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving skills. This criterion examines how the tool encourages storytelling, imagination, and interactive learning. Consider whether it creates meaningful experiences that develop both cognitive and emotional capabilities.

🛡️

SSafety

Safety is paramount in any AI tool used by children. This criterion evaluates privacy protection, security measures, and safeguards against harmful content. Assess whether the tool provides adequate parental controls, clear safety guidelines, and robust content filtering capabilities.
